New Zealand-based developer Unclear Games has announced The Florist, a fixed-camera survival horror experience coming to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam in 2026.

Set in the picturesque yet deadly lakeside town of Joycliffe, The Florist follows Jessica Park, a florist whose routine delivery spirals into a nightmarish fight for survival against an ever-spreading floral infestation. As the town becomes consumed by sentient vegetation, players must solve intricate puzzles, battle terrifying plant-based monstrosities, and uncover a disturbing experiment designed to create new life through unnatural means.
Exploration plays a key role in The Florist, encouraging players to study their surroundings for clues, manage weapons, and use an in-game journal that records discoveries and specimen data. Each passing day brings new horrors, as the world dynamically shifts between day and night, introducing enemies that evolve and adapt over time.
Unlike traditional horror settings, Joycliffe is vibrant and colorful—its beauty masking its danger. The Florist uses light and color as central gameplay tools to heighten tension in handcrafted environments built around classic fixed-camera perspectives. Designed for both nostalgic fans and newcomers, the game includes accessibility options, autosave checkpoints, unlimited inventory, and hidden extras reminiscent of genre-defining titles.
