DaRmaZat ChillyRoom has unveiled the debut trailer and first screenshots for Loulan: The Cursed Sand, its upcoming action RPG developed under the PlayStation China Hero Project. The game is in development for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, with a release date yet to be announced.
Set along the ancient Silk Road in the Western Regions of China, Loulan: The Cursed Sand follows a tragic love story between an exiled royal guard and his lost princess. Players take on the role of “The Cursed Sand,” a skeletal warrior bound by both power and torment, wielding the ability to control sand to traverse the fallen kingdom and uncover its secrets.
The game features grounded, one-against-many melee combat from a dynamic top-down perspective, challenging players to master the interplay between terrain, timing, and tactics. Its signature mechanic allows seamless switching between bone and sand forms, offering distinct combat styles and narrative depth. As players journey through Loulan’s ruins, they will encounter powerful elites, colossal bosses, and intricate puzzles that demand clever use of sand-based abilities.
