Ubisoft and Ubisoft Quebec have announced that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on December 2, 2025, priced at $59.99. The version arrives with all recent updates and free content drops included, excluding the Claws of Awaji expansion—which will arrive later in 2026. The game first released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC via the Epic Games Store, Steam and the Ubisoft Store, Mac via App Store, and Luna on March 20.

The upcoming Switch 2 release will support full cross-progression through Ubisoft Connect, allowing players to seamlessly continue their journey across platforms. New touch-screen functionality has also been added, letting players navigate the world map, store, and hideout menus directly through the console’s display.
Ahead of the new platform launch, Ubisoft has also outlined the fall content roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Title Update 10 arrives on October 28, introducing a second Parkour Update with a new “Advanced Parkour” toggle, improved ledge grabbing, and a returning directional catch-ledge mechanic. The same update also debuts a fresh Animus-themed activity, Corrupted Castles, in which players can revisit completed castles now infested with anomalies and Samurai Daisho for higher-level rewards.
Title Update 11 follows on November 25, delivering a free story quest called A Puzzlement, a lighter-toned mission exploring Naoe’s past with new skills for both protagonists. Ubisoft also teased another surprise collaboration and several free seasonal rewards rolling out around the holidays.
