Blumhouse Games and developer EYES OUT have announced that SLEEP AWAKE, their upcoming first-person psychedelic horror experience, will launch on December 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Originally slated for a 2026 release, SLEEP AWAKE invites players into the CRUSH—the last known city on Earth—where a mysterious phenomenon known as The HUSH has driven humanity to the brink of collapse. Sleep means death, and the desperate struggle to stay awake has fractured reality itself. You play as Katja, one of the few survivors clinging to consciousness as the world unravels. Caught between dreams and death, she must navigate the decaying metropolis, confront deranged cults, and solve reality-bending puzzles—all while resisting the siren call of sleep.
Developed by Spec Ops: The Line director Cory Davis and Nine Inch Nails guitarist Robin Finck, SLEEP AWAKE blends immersive first-person gameplay with FMV sequences, haunting sound design, and psychedelic visuals that warp the boundaries of perception.
Following its September demo debut on PC, the team at EYES OUT has confirmed that the full game will expand on the demo’s unsettling introduction—delving deeper into the CRUSH, the origins of The HUSH, and Katja’s own fractured psyche.
EYES OUT describes SLEEP AWAKE as “a deeply personal project born from shared experiences of isolation, insomnia, and the thin veil between consciousness and madness.” Leading up to launch, Blumhouse Games will release behind-the-scenes videos, developer interviews, and original soundtrack drops on YouTube and the official Blumhouse Games Discord.
