DaRmaZat Dotemu and Tribute Games have announced that MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, a pixel-art beat ’em up inspired by the golden age of arcade action, will launch on December 1 for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, Nintendo Switch & Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
The developers also revealed two new playable heroes — Phoenix and Invincible Iron Man — joining an already star-studded roster that includes Captain America, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Storm, Phyla-Vell, Venom, Nova, She-Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, Silver Surfer, Beta Ray Bill, Black Panther, and Cosmic Ghost Rider.
In MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, the immortal Super Villain Annihilus has unleashed an intergalactic assault, threatening every corner of the galaxy. Heroes from Earth and beyond must unite to stop the deadly Annihilation Wave, battling across a vast array of iconic MARVEL locations — from the streets of New York City to the shadowy depths of the Negative Zone.
Players can assemble their own two-hero team and switch between them in real time using the innovative Cosmic Swap system. This tag-team mechanic encourages strategic combinations of abilities and special attacks, allowing for creative team-ups and explosive combo chains.
