Vampires: Bloodlord Rising, the dark open-world vampire RPG from Mehuman Games and Toplitz Productions, will host a public playtest beginning October 30, giving players their first chance to experience the gothic world of Sangavia ahead of the game’s Early Access launch on January 30, 2026 for PC via Steam.

Originally planned for release this autumn, the developers previously announced a short delay to allow for more polishing, bug fixing, and performance improvements — ensuring a smoother, blood-soaked experience worthy of its dark fantasy vision. The upcoming playtest serves as both a community event and a development milestone, allowing players to test gameplay systems, castle construction, and core vampire mechanics while offering feedback that will help shape the Early Access build.
Set in the fictional, Balkan-inspired land of Sangavia, Vampires: Bloodlord Rising follows Dragos, a man turned vampire after a brutal attack, now torn between his hunger for blood and his vow to protect those he once swore to defend. Players will shape his destiny through moral choices that determine whether they become a merciful ruler or a feared tyrant.
Vampires: Bloodlord Rising‘s gameplay emphasizes freedom and immersion: players can build and customize sprawling gothic castles, recruit and command a loyal vampire clan, and wield supernatural powers to dominate the night. Co-op play allows friends to join forces to explore Sangavia’s forests, ruins, and dungeons, forging their own legacy beneath the blood moon.
The team also unveiled a major visual overhaul, featuring enhanced global illumination and refined reflection systems that give the world of Sangavia a richer, more cinematic atmosphere. Mehuman Games noted that these improvements are still being optimized and that community feedback during the playtest will directly influence final adjustments before the Early Access launch.
