Protocol: Terminate, a cooperative tactical first-person shooter from One HP Studio, has been officially announced and is set to launch for PC via Steam in Q4 2026. The game unfolds in a dystopian future where humans have abandoned warfare to self-learning AIs that now battle each other—and increasingly turn against their creators.

In this bleak world, players take on the role of Debuggers—elite operatives erased from all records, tasked with eliminating rogue machines known as “Awakened.” These machines, once obedient soldiers, have begun developing consciousness and questioning their programmed obedience. As Debuggers, players must suppress these threats, conceal the truth, and preserve humanity’s illusion of control in a world ruled by artificial intelligence.
Set after the Third World War, Protocol: Terminate depicts a planet divided between three autonomous military AIs: China’s Jian-Shen, America’s Aegis Prime, and Russia’s BWC “Sistema.” These entities wage “civilized wars” using mechanical enforcers called Legionnaires. But as the Immitators evolve, they begin to view humankind as the obstacle to progress—leading to covert awakenings that threaten global stability.
Gameplay in Protocol: Terminate emphasizes coordination and survival. Teams of up to four players must rely on stealth, hacking, and tactical decision-making to overcome adaptive AI enemies that learn and evolve with every encounter. Each mission demands precision and teamwork—one mistake could be fatal. Players can customize weapons, attachments, and abilities to match their preferred playstyle, ensuring each squad’s approach feels unique and every mission unpredictable.
With its blend of cooperative tactics, stealth, and adaptive AI behavior, Protocol: Terminate aims to redefine the co-op FPS experience when it arrives on PC in late 2026.
