In Anno 117: Pax Romana, you step into the sandals of a Roman governor in a narrative-driven campaign that explores the meaning and cost of peace. Launching November 13 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, the newest chapter in Ubisoft Mainz’s acclaimed city-building series introduces personal storytelling and an ambitious Year 1 roadmap filled with post-launch expansions.

For the first time in the series, players can choose between two protagonists—Marcus, a young and uncertain Roman thrust into leadership, or Marcia, a powerful woman rising through the ranks of a patriarchal empire. Their choices shape not only the fate of their provinces but also the very essence of what it means to rule Rome. Each storyline offers unique decisions and moral dilemmas that define the legacy of the governor’s reign.
Beyond the story campaign, the Year 1 Pass expands the empire with new territories and challenges. “Provinces of Ash” introduces the largest island ever created in Anno, complete with a towering volcano and a new deity to worship. “The Hippodrome” lets players build the grandest monument in Anno history, hosting chariot races to entertain citizens and enhance prestige. Finally, “Dawn of the Delta” transports governors to a desert region inspired by ancient Egypt, featuring new gods, cultures, and resources that broaden the empire’s influence.
With its blend of city-building strategy, cultural depth, and player-driven storytelling, Anno 117: Pax Romana invites fans to define their own vision of Roman civilization when it launches this November.
