DaRmaZat Publisher tinyBuild and developer Fire & Frost have announced that the open-world fantasy RPG Of Ash and Steel will launch for PC via Steam and GOG on November 6. Ahead of release, a free playable demo is now available as part of Steam Next Fest: October 2025 Edition.
Set on the mysterious island of Grayshaft, Of Ash and Steel puts players in the role of Tristian, a humble cartographer turned reluctant adventurer. Instead of traditional quest markers, exploration and curiosity drive the narrative, rewarding players who take time to uncover hidden paths, secrets, and choices that shape their story.
The Steam Next Fest demo offers a glimpse into the main campaign, several side quests, and an early look at the game’s detailed crafting and skill systems. Players can experiment with various professions, combat styles, and weapons — from heavy two-handed axes to swift rapiers — while adapting their playstyle through deep skill trees.
Also included in the demo is Arena Master Mode, a standalone challenge where players can test their combat abilities in intense, wave-based battles. Earn gold, experience, and fame as you master techniques, upgrade equipment, and strive to become the greatest gladiator on Grayshaft.
