Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Showcases the Lasombra Clan in New Gameplay Spotlight

A new trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 introduces the Lasombra, Seattle’s enigmatic clan of shadow manipulators. The footage offers a fresh look at Phyre’s powers, revealing how the darkness itself becomes both weapon and shield.

The Lasombra begin with “Oblivion” and “Dominate” as their core clan affinities. Their passive ability, Shadow Cloak, allows them to fade into the shadows after feeding, becoming harder to spot for a brief time. As Phyre’s power grows, new Disciplines become available: Arms of Ahriman traps foes in a line of shadow; Shadow Step lets you slip through darkness to emerge behind your target; Glimpse of Oblivion strikes fear into enemies, scattering their allies; Enter Oblivion transports Phyre and those marked by her shadow into a separate dimension; and the Stygian Shroud clan perk protects her from mortal interference while feeding.

In Bloodlines 2, players embody Phyre, an elder vampire navigating nine nights of dangerous politics and moral dilemmas in a modern Seattle torn between secrecy and ambition. Survival hinges on mastering the Disciplines, forging fragile alliances, and maintaining the Masquerade in a world where every decision carries weight.
