Ubisoft and Unfrozen have released a free playable demo for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, now available on PC via Steam. Set in the legendary universe of Enroth, the game returns to the roots of turn-based strategy with a new continent, Jadame, inviting players to explore its mystical lands and face the dangers that dwell within.

The demo lets players command four distinct factions—the sacred Temple, the shadowy Dungeon, the undead legions of Necropolis, and the eldritch Schism—each offering unique units, heroes, and strategic depth. Players can choose whether to act as saviors, conquerors, or corruptors as they uncover Jadame’s long-lost secrets.
Alongside the demo’s launch, Ubisoft confirmed that the Early Access release window for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era has shifted to 2026. This additional time will allow for expanded testing, user interface improvements, and further unit redesigns based on community feedback.
During Early Access, players will experience the core campaign, multiple game modes, and a mix of solo and multiplayer options, from branching missions to fast-paced arena battles and custom scenarios built with a detailed map editor. The final version, planned roughly a year later, will expand upon this foundation with refined visuals, additional content, and enhanced strategic systems.
