True-story inspiration, cinematic dread, and desperate combat meet in Dusty Box’s debut game.
Independent studio Dusty Box has announced its debut title, Cult of Blood, with a chilling new trailer that descends into the heart of ritualistic horror. Inspired by a true story and twisted through dark folklore, the game blends cinematic storytelling, brutal combat, and classic survival horror tension. Cult of Blood is in development for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox Series, with a release planned for next year. A demo version of the game now available on Steam.

Set in a hidden village ruled by a blood cult, Cult of Blood follows a lone police officer drawn into an investigation that unravels into a nightmare. What begins as routine quickly becomes a desperate struggle for survival as he confronts the cult’s queen and her followers — humans stripped of their souls and enslaved to her will.
The trailer showcases fog-drenched streets, candlelit catacombs, and tense, close-quarters combat where every bullet and healing item counts. Built with fixed camera angles, tank-style movement, and modern refinements for dodging and aiming, Cult of Blood channels the spirit of Resident Evil and Silent Hill while forging its own ritualistic identity.
In Cult of Blood, you will need to scavenge limited resources, collect blood souls to upgrade weapons, and you will face grotesque enemies culminating in a multi-phase final battle against the cult’s priestess — a ritual that decides whether the player destroys the cult or becomes its final sacrifice.
