It’s never the most exciting news when a game gets delayed—but sometimes, it’s for the best. 11 bit studios and Digital Sun have announced that Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will now launch into Early Access on November 19, instead of the previously planned October 23 date. The developers explained that the change gives the game “a better start out of the gate” and helps it avoid the crowded October release schedule.
Update October 7, 2025: A Steam playtest for Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault has been confirmed to go live on October 10.

In a statement to fans, Digital Sun wrote:
“Even the most precious gem can be overlooked in an overstuffed showcase. With so many great releases this month, we’ve decided to move our release to November 19. We’ll also be running Closed Playtests on Steam and the Microsoft Store soon, so you can experience some of the new changes ahead of launch.”
Set in the mysterious village of Tresna, Moonlighter 2 once again follows Will, the shopkeeping adventurer from the first game. To find his way home, he must explore an interdimensional rift filled with danger, treasure, and secrets. The sequel refines the beloved mix of dungeon crawling and store management with four weapon types, more than 120 collectible relics, and nearly 100 perks tied to exploration and shopkeeping.
The Early Access version will feature three distinct biomes and much of the game’s story content, with feedback from players helping to shape the final release. Check out more information here.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault launches in Early Access on November 19 for PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, and will also be available through PC Game Pass. The full version is planned for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC at a later date.
