DaRmaZat Electronic Arts and PopCap Games have officially announced Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted, a remastered edition of the beloved tower defense classic. The game will release on October 23 for $19.99/€19.99 and will be available on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S , Nintendo Switch & Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Originally released over 15 years ago, Plants vs. Zombies returns with a fresh coat of HD paint, new levels, gameplay enhancements, and modern quality-of-life additions. Players can expect all the familiar backyard battles—with Peashooters, Sunflowers, and brain-hungry Zombies—revamped for current-gen platforms.
New additions include expanded content, co-op support, player-vs-player mode, new gameplay modes like Cloudy Day (where sunlight is scarce) and a hardcore permadeath mode called Rest In Peace. Players can also unlock classic content through the revamped Tree of Wisdom and explore an in-game art gallery showcasing behind-the-scenes material from the franchise’s history.
