Astral Clocktower Studios’ dark fantasy action RPG Kristala will launch into Early Access on the Epic Games Store on July 28, with a free demo available starting today. Originally launched in Early Access on Steam on June 6, 2024, Kristala has steadily grown with community feedback, and the Epic Games Store version marks the next step in its multi-platform rollout.

Set in the mystical and cursed realm of Ailur, Kristala casts players as a feline warrior chosen to become a Kristalan—one of six clan warriors tasked with mastering elemental magic and confronting a world consumed by ancient curses and monstrous transformations. Drawing clear inspiration from genre heavyweights like Dark Souls and Sekiro, Kristala features fast-paced, punishing combat that rewards precision, timing, and tactical aggression.
Each player begins by customizing their own Anagativan warrior, selecting from one of six lore-rich clans, each aligned with a unique elemental magic. Character personalization extends to fur color, length, starting class, and magical specialization—offering flexibility in playstyle from the very first moments. Movement is agile and catlike, with traversal and stealth mechanics woven into exploration and combat.
Kristala’s combat and worldbuilding go hand in hand. Magic is tied directly to the Sacred Six Kristals, ancient sources of power that define each clan’s identity. As players progress, they’ll unlock and enhance spells via a branching skill tree that shapes how their character fights and survives. The world itself—haunting, atmospheric, and layered with forgotten histories—invites exploration through moody environments and a narrative centered on prophecy, corruption, and fractured legacies.
Though this Early Access version is just the beginning, it already hints at a rich, deep action RPG experience shaped by challenge, customization, and catlike cunning. For more information, visit the official website.
