Publisher Reef Entertainment and developer Bitmap Bureau have announced a delay for the side-scrolling action game Terminator 2D: NO FATE. Originally set for release on September 5, the game will now launch on October 31. The game will be available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

According to Bitmap Bureau, the physical release process has taken longer than expected, leading to this postponement. They expressed apologies and thanked fans for their patience. This additional time will also allow the team to put the final polish on the game, ensuring players experience the best possible version. The delay affects both digital and physical editions.
In Terminator 2D: NO FATE, players take control of iconic characters Sarah Connor and the T-800, battling the relentless T-1000 to thwart Skynet’s plans and save humanity. Players also lead the Resistance as John Connor in future war missions, engaging in a unique narrative that blends well-known scenes from Terminator 2: Judgment Day with new storylines and multiple endings.
The game brings the franchise to life through adrenaline-fueled arcade gameplay and detailed pixel art, hallmarks of Bitmap Bureau’s style. It features classic arcade elements, cinematic soundtrack compositions both new and inspired by the original T2 score, and a variety of game modes, including Story Mode, Arcade Mode, Infinite Mode, Boss Rush, Mother of the Future, and Level Training. Players can expect intense battles against Cyberdyne and Skynet forces, diverse enemy types, and challenging boss fights. The game also offers a high score system for arcade enthusiasts aiming for top ranks.
