SEGA and Lizardcube have released a brand-new combat trailer for SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance, offering the most detailed look yet at Joe Musashi’s deadly toolkit ahead of the game’s August 29 release.

The trailer shows the legendary ninja in action across dynamic side-scrolling stages, using a versatile mix of movement tools, elemental abilities, and cinematic finishers. From grappling through enemy outposts to summoning fire-breathing dragons, Musashi’s arsenal is built for speed, spectacle, and precision.
Combat in SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance is built around three core pillars that together define Joe Musashi’s fighting style. First, there’s Ningi, a set of agile traversal abilities that let players glide across stages, scale walls, and break through obstacles or enemies alike. Then comes Ninpo, a collection of elemental techniques designed for both offense and strategy—stunning foes, shattering defenses, and building momentum mid-combat. And finally, there’s Ninjutsu: powerful, cinematic ultimate attacks unleashed when the Rage Gauge is full, capable of turning the tide of battle in an instant.
The result is fast-paced, expressive action rooted in the SHINOBI legacy but reinvented for a modern audience. Whether breaking through barriers with a Cannon Punch or wiping the screen clean with a flame-wreathed dragon, Musashi’s path to vengeance has never looked sharper.
On August 29, the stylized ninja action game slashes onto PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
