Blizzard Entertainment unveils the secrets of the past as Diablo IV: Sins of the Horadrim launches on July 1. Cleanse the blood relics corrupted by the Charred Duke Astaroth, develop powerful Horadric Spells, and face Escalating Nightmares in a new endgame activity before confronting a familiar face and his demonic steed.

In Season 9, players will travel to Cerrigar to meet the druid Bryona, who is grappling with the consequences of choices made by the Horadric mage Donan. Help Bryona protect her homeland while uncovering the secrets hidden within the Horadric Strongrooms.
Using powerful spellcrafting skills, players can create and customize Horadric Spells. By combining potent elements, they can craft intense magic tailored to their own playstyle.
To ensure Nightmare Dungeons remain a lasting challenge, new features are being introduced: Horadric Strongholds, Escalating Nightmares, and fresh Nightmare Dungeon affixes. Horadric Strongrooms, which can be found within Nightmare Dungeons, are micro-dungeons that offer greater rewards and more terrifying mummified enemies. Escalating Nightmares drag players deeper into despair through a chain of three Nightmare Dungeons that grow increasingly difficult and rewarding.
Those who survive all three will face the Exalted version of Astaroth. During the encounter with Astaroth, he will dismount from the Amalgam of Rage and split into two separate final bosses. The Amalgam will resurrect shortly after being defeated as long as its master remains standing, so players will need to devise the right strategy to take down this loyal servant of Mephisto.
Season 9 also introduces permanent features such as mouse and keyboard support for consoles and new Unique items for every class. By progressing through the Season Journey for Sins of the Horadrim, players can earn various rewards, including Dante the Dog, a pet whose bark matches the fury of his hellish bite.
