Watt Studio Games, the developer behind Hannah’s Day, has unveiled its next project: Tsarevna, a third-person action slasher rooted in Slavic mythology and classical ballet. The game is set to launch on PC via Steam in 2026.

In Tsarevna, players assume the role of the titular heroine—an exiled warrior princess who wields a magical blade forged from raw emotion. As she journeys across a haunting, myth-infused world, she must face off against wraiths, sirens, and other beasts drawn from ancient folklore to uncover the truth behind her family’s fall and a forgotten catastrophe.
Combat is the game’s centerpiece, with a unique system inspired by ballet. Watt Games has collaborated with Alyona Kovalyova, a principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet, to capture motion for the protagonist’s every leap, spin, and strike—turning each battle into a performance. This choreography aims to blur the line between violence and elegance, making for an action experience unlike any other.
Players will travel through twisted villages, sacred ruins, and celestial realms as they uncover the Tsarevna’s forgotten past, confront gods, and choose whether to seek their blessing—or defy them.
Tsarevna will offer both rich storytelling and fluid, combo-based swordplay, driven by emotion-fueled magic. According to Watt Games, it’s a love letter to Slavic folklore, grief, and the transformative power of movement.
