Publisher Forever Entertainment and developer MegaPixel Studio have announced that The House of the Dead 2: Remake will launch on August 7 for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and GOG, priced at $24.99/€24.99. Releases for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One will follow at a later date.

The House of the Dead 2: Remake reimagines the beloved arcade rail shooter with modern visuals, remastered music, and updated controls, while remaining faithful to the fast-paced gameplay of the original. Players can step into the roles of AMS agents James Taylor or Gary Stewart, either solo or in local co-op, to battle through hordes of undead in a city overtaken by a mysterious outbreak.
Set in the year 2000, the story picks up nearly two years after the Curien Mansion incident. As the agents investigate a new infestation, they must fight their way through grotesque creatures and uncover the source behind the chaos.
The remake includes a range of features, such as branching paths, multiple endings, and various game modes like Boss Rush and Training. Both the remastered and original soundtracks will be included.
