The Early Access release of Heros of Might and Magic: Olden Era has officially been postponed to a later date in 2025, as confirmed by developer Unfrozen in a recent update. Originally expected sooner, the delay is intended to give the team more time to refine and improve the game based on extensive community feedback.

Set in the classic Heroes of Might and Magic universe, the game reintroduces strategic turn-based mechanics while exploring a new continent and expanding the lore of Enroth. Olden Era will launch in Early Access on Steam, offering players access to its core gameplay systems, a substantial story-driven campaign, and multiple game modes.
The developers cited the need for additional development time to meet quality expectations and fully integrate player suggestions. As an indie studio, they emphasized the importance of taking the time necessary to ensure the release meets the vision and standards set for the project.
In the meantime, internal beta testing has been expanded, and the team continues to gather feedback from hundreds of playtesters, as well as from community platforms and social media. Several improvements have already been implemented in response, including updates to Temple Town, the Angel units, and accessibility features. One of the latest additions revealed is a redesigned Necropolis town screen.
Further updates and refinements are expected in the coming months as development continues. A new Early Access release window will be announced closer to launch.
