During the PC Gaming Show, Ubisoft spotlighted three very different—but equally ambitious—titles: the grand strategy city-builder Anno 117: Pax Romana, the momentum-driven roguelite The Rogue Prince of Persia, and the brutal hack-and-slash action game Morbid Metal. Together, these games highlight Ubisoft’s growing range across genres, offering everything from empire management to kinetic platforming and shapeshifting combat carnage.

Anno 117: Pax Romana — Building an Empire from the Heart of Rome
Ubisoft Mainz took the stage with a memorable new trailer for Anno 117: Pax Romana, revealing its official release date: November 13, 2025. The game takes the long-running Anno series into Roman times, casting players as a provincial governor tasked with expanding the Empire’s reach across diverse and challenging territories—from the familiar cities of Latium to the untamed, myth-shrouded wilds of Albion.
The trailer’s stylized depiction of Roman statues breaking into song hints at a tone that mixes gravitas with whimsy. As always, careful resource management, diplomacy, and urban planning will define your legacy. Pre-orders are already live (NL, BE/FR, US, UK), inviting players to secure their place in Rome’s growing dominion.
The Rogue Prince of Persia — One Year of Evolving Combat and Design
Evil Empire’s The Rogue Prince of Persia marked its first full year in Steam Early Access with a new trailer and a promising update: the full 1.0 release is on track for August 2025. Since launch, the game has evolved steadily through community-driven updates, refining its fluid traversal, combo-heavy combat, and branching level structure.
Players once again step into the sandals of the Prince, whose journey across a ravaged Ctesiphon is as much about redemption as it is resistance. With each run, players unlock new routes, abilities, and strategic opportunities, gradually piecing together the Prince’s fate—and that of the empire he’s sworn to protect.
Morbid Metal — Shapeshifting Chaos in a Wasted World
Ubisoft also reintroduced Morbid Metal, a stylish, high-speed action roguelite developed by Screen Juice. The game’s demo drew attention for its real-time character-switching system, which allows players to seamlessly swap between four distinct fighters mid-combat, combining abilities and chaining flashy combos in a single fluid assault.
Set in a fractured future where biomechanical enemies roam overgrown ruins and industrial wastelands, Morbid Metal balances aggression with precision. Every failed run feeds into long-term progression, unlocking new characters and abilities to help players survive increasingly hostile terrain. The game enters Early Access on August 20, with a free demo already available now on Steam.
