DaRmaZat Beast of Reincarnation, the next action RPG from Pokémon developer Game Freak and new label Fictions, is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store in 2026. It will also be available day one on Game Pass.
Set in a post-apocalyptic Japan overrun by corruption and monstrous creatures, the game follows Emma—an outcast known as a Blighted One—and her canine companion Koo. Together, they must survive a shifting world where nature reclaims the land and secrets lie buried beneath the decay.
As players explore the world and battle through hostile environments, Emma and Koo’s bond will evolve, granting new powers and combat abilities. Beast of Reincarnation features precise, technical melee combat and emphasizes the connection between human and animal in a fight for survival.
Developed in Unreal Engine 5, this marks a bold new direction for Game Freak outside its well-known franchise roots.
