Sisterhood Games, the all-women indie development team behind the innovative action RPG DOWNHILL, has unveiled a brand-new trailer at the Women-Led Games Showcase during this year’s Summer Game Fest. The trailer highlights the game’s unique fourth-wall-breaking mechanic, where players act as the voice inside the mind of Fade, the protagonist.

Since launching its Kickstarter campaign, DOWNHILL has already reached 50% of its funding goal in just two days, signaling strong community support. The playable demo is currently available on Steam, giving players an early look at the game’s haunting narrative that explores themes of power and consequence.
DOWNHILL draws inspiration from acclaimed indie titles such as Undertale, OneShot, and Hyper Light Drifter. The game challenges players to influence Fade’s fate through their choices, with the protagonist being fully aware of the player’s presence—blurring the lines between character and controller.
For those interested in exploring the demo or supporting the development, the Steam page and Kickstarter campaign are live now. Sisterhood Games continues to build anticipation for console versions, which are planned but not yet announced.
