Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed Project Defiant, its first wireless fight stick, designed for PlayStation 5 and PC. Built with the PlayStation Link protocol, the controller offers ultra-low latency performance and can be used wirelessly or via a USB-C cable for wired play.

Project Defiant includes a custom digital stick with toolless restrictor gate swaps, mechanical buttons, and a touchpad similar to the DualSense controller. The surface sports a two-tone look, with the stick positioned on the black left side and the action buttons on the white right side. A row of functional buttons lines the top edge, including options for PS Link, lever mode, and system functions.
The device also supports waking up the PS5 wirelessly by holding the PS button. A protective sling case with built-in lever support is included for easy transport.
Project Defiant is expected to launch in 2026. More details, including its final name and release date, will be announced closer to launch.
