DaRmaZat Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch & Switch 2, and PC (Steam). The game will launch on September 30.
This enhanced version brings fully voiced dialogue, upgraded graphics, and a revamped UI for a modern experience, along with a classic mode faithfully recreating the original 1997 release. This makes it perfect for both newcomers and longtime fans. Players will step into the shoes of Ramza Beoulve, a young noble in the medieval kingdom of Ivalice, where ambition, betrayal, and honor shape a complex political landscape. The story unfolds with deep character development and tactical turn-based battles.
With over 20 job classes, including black mage, summoner, time mage, and thief, and more than 300 abilities, players have rich customization options to strategically build their party and conquer battles. Legendary creators from the original game return, including director Kazutoyo Maehiro, art director Hiroshi Minagawa, and scenario writer Yasumi Matsuno. The new key art by Akihiko Yoshida captures the complex relationships of the main characters.
Pre-orders include exclusive weapons, accessories, and consumables for Ramza, with additional bonuses in the Deluxe Edition to boost ability learning speed.
