Focus Entertainment and developer Douze Dixiemes have released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming sci-fi Metroidvania MIO: Memories In Orbit, alongside a playable demo available now for PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.

MIO: Memories In Orbit invites players into a beautifully stylized, mysterious world set aboard the Vessel—a massive spaceship in decay, overrun by rogue machines and wild vegetation. You play as MIO, a lone robot who awakens with no memory and must uncover the truth behind the ship’s collapse—and their own forgotten origin.
Today’s new gameplay trailer showcases MIO’s nimble movement and combat abilities, seamlessly blending platforming mechanics with action in a lush, layered environment inspired by science-fiction comics, anime, and abstract paintings. The presentation is underscored by a moody lo-fi soundtrack and haunting choral tones, setting an atmospheric and poetic tone.
A two-to-three-hour demo is now available on PC, offering a substantial slice of the full experience. Players can explore the opening chapter of the Vessel, experiment with traversal tools like the grappling hook, gliding, and wall-cling, and tackle a hidden area and a major early-game boss encounter. The demo offers a taste of the title’s rich worldbuilding and challenging design.
MIO: Memories In Orbit is scheduled to launch in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
