DaRmaZat IO Interactive has officially pulled back the curtain on 007 First Light, a brand-new James Bond video game built from the ground up as an origin story for the legendary spy. A full reveal is planned for later this week during the studio’s freshly announced IO Interactive Showcase, scheduled for June 6.
While 007 First Light was previously confirmed for Switch 2 during April’s Nintendo Direct, the game is widely expected to launch on multiple platforms, aligning with IO’s original project vision. According to the teaser site, players will embody a young Bond and undertake the trials that will ultimately earn him his iconic 00 status.
More details, including the first gameplay footage, will be shared later this week during the official livestream.
Update 06/05: Via a new trailer, IO Interactive has officially announced 007 First Light, launching for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in 2026.
