Indie studio Anima Project has officially unveiled Anima: Gate of Memories I & II Remaster, a fully reimagined version of its cult-favorite action RPG series. The unified edition will arrive in Fall 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A separate version for Nintendo Switch 2 is also in development and expected to launch in 2026.

Rebuilt from the ground up, this definitive release combines Anima: Gate of Memories and Anima: The Nameless Chronicles into a single title with overhauled visuals, refined combat mechanics, and improved gameplay systems. Designed for both returning fans and newcomers alike, the remaster revisits the dark fantasy world of Gaia with a modern polish.
The narrative spans two intertwined storylines: one follows the Bearer of Calamities, a young woman bound to a sentient book of immense power; the other centers on The Nameless, an immortal warrior burdened by a cursed existence. Players can expect dynamic third-person combat, deep RPG progression, and meaningful choices that shape the characters’ intertwined fates.
Built on the lore of the Anima: Beyond Fantasy tabletop RPG, the remaster offers seamless character switching, an expanded Dual System, and the return of the Hand of Tanathos—an ability allowing the Nameless to wield the power of Death itself.
