NVIDIA has officially launched its native GeForce NOW app for the Steam Deck, transforming Valve’s handheld into a full-fledged RTX-powered cloud gaming machine. Announced earlier this year at CES, the app is now available for download and unlocks support for 4K 60 FPS, HDR10, DLSS 4, and Reflex, allowing players to stream graphically demanding games without pushing the Steam Deck’s hardware to its limits.

Thanks to the cloud-based rendering, gamers can experience longer battery life — up to 50% more — and enjoy higher settings and smoother performance, whether docked to a TV or on the move. The app supports over 2,200 games, with compatibility across Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft, Battle.net, Xbox libraries, and 180+ PC Game Pass titles. This launch pairs well with the six new titles hitting GeForce NOW this week, including Tokyo Xtreme Racer, the iconic Japanese street racer reborn in the cloud, along with Nice Day for Fishing, The Last Spell, and Torque Drift 2.
To mark the launch, NVIDIA is hosting a giveaway featuring two prize bundles, each including a Steam Deck OLED, a Steam Deck Dock, and free GeForce NOW Ultimate memberships. Fans can enter by following GeForce NOW’s official channels and using #GFNOnSteamDeck.
You can download the GeForce NOW native app for Steam Deck from the official page, with setup instructions available on NVIDIA’s support site. From Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and Monster Hunter Wilds, the native app makes it possible to enjoy AAA experiences at settings previously unimaginable on a handheld.
