DaRmaZat SEGA and developer Lizardcube have released a brand-new story trailer for SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance, the upcoming hand-drawn action platformer starring iconic ninja Joe Musashi. The game is set to launch on August 29 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
The latest trailer offers a deeper look at Joe’s personal journey. After returning home from a mission, he finds his village destroyed and his clan turned to stone. Fueled by vengeance, Joe sets out to uncover the truth and face a growing threat that spans across a dozen handcrafted stages.
Combat blends fast-paced swordplay with classic ninja tools like kunai and ninjutsu, while mystical abilities and environmental puzzles expand the path forward. Players can expect fluid animations, cinematic boss encounters, and richly detailed 2D backdrops that pay homage to the golden age of arcade ninja action.
