Survival horror fans can now look forward to experiencing BrokenLore: UNFOLLOW on PlayStation 5, as publisher Shochiku and developer Serafini Productions have confirmed a console release alongside the previously announced PC version via Steam.

Part of the broader BrokenLore anthology, UNFOLLOW invites players into a haunting narrative that blurs the line between psychological horror and social critique. You play as Anne, a young woman navigating a deeply symbolic and disturbing world shaped by digital pressure, cyberbullying, and her deteriorating self-image. The game explores the toxic spiral of online validation and the mental toll of being constantly perceived, liked, and judged.
Serafini Productions describes BrokenLore as an interconnected universe of standalone horror stories, with each title revealing new pieces of an overarching mythology. Previous chapters LOW and DON’T WATCH are already available on Steam, while UNFOLLOW and its upcoming sister game FOLLOW are set to expand the lore even further.
Through shifting realities, multiple endings, and a dreamlike, folklore-laced aesthetic, UNFOLLOW delivers a raw look at mental fragility in the age of endless scrolling. YouTuber Akidearest, who lends her likeness and voice to the project, notes how close to home the game hits: “It’s just as good as it is bad. Social media connects people, but it can break you too.”
No release date has been set yet for UNFOLLOW, but with its move to PS5, the nightmare is ready to reach a wider audience.
