Polish developer 7LEVELS has announced Castle of Heart: Retold, a significantly enhanced and expanded version of the original side-scrolling action adventure. The game is set to launch this summer for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

In Castle of Heart: Retold, players step into the armor of Svaran, a cursed Slavic warrior turned to stone, who must fight against the dark forces of the Sorcerer—a servant of the evil god Chernobog. On a quest to rescue the last priestess of the goddess Mokosh, Svaran battles mythological beasts and deadly traps while struggling to maintain his crumbling form. Letting your kill streak lapse could cost you limbs—and your ability to fight back.
This definitive edition reworks nearly every aspect of the original, with new character models, updated lighting, remixed music, and fully rewritten dialogue. Combat and platforming have been overhauled for smoother gameplay, more responsive controls, and a better player interface. The story has also been reimagined, offering new cutscenes and multiple endings.
Packed with Slavic mythology, fast-paced action, and brutal boss fights, Castle of Heart: Retold invites players to master their weapons, collect the Crystals of Mokosh, and face their fate.
