Paradox Arc and developer CoolAndGoodGames have opened sign-ups for the upcoming closed beta of Starminer, a real-time space strategy game centered around high-stakes mining and survival. While the full release date remains unannounced, selected players will soon get a chance to explore the game’s early hours.

This test will focus on the onboarding process and initial gameplay flow, as the developers are aiming to fine-tune the tutorial experience. Only a limited number of participants will be invited, and a brief written interview is part of the application process.
Starminer challenges players to build and command a modular fleet of mining vessels and warships, all operating in a fully simulated physics environment. As you extract valuable resources from asteroid fields, you’ll need to balance efficiency, tonnage, and firepower to maximize your profits—and your survival. The deeper your reach, the greater your visibility to a lurking alien threat that grows more aggressive the more you consume.
With its blend of real-time combat, modular construction, and high-stakes resource management, Starminer invites players to build link gates, research new tech, and navigate contracts from the highest bidders across the sector. But greed comes at a price, and the more you expand, the more you’ll need to defend what you’ve built.
