Publisher Microids and developers Virtuallyz Gaming and Microids Studio Paris have officially announced Syberia Remastered, a complete remake of the classic 2002 point-and-click adventure game by the late Benoît Sokal. The reimagined title is set to arrive in Q4 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Syberia Remastered brings the beloved journey of Kate Walker into a modern light, offering updated 3D visuals, reworked environments, and redesigned mechanical puzzles—all while preserving the core narrative that made the original a landmark in the adventure genre. The remake revisits key locations like the snow-covered town of Valadilène and introduces contemporary enhancements to navigation and user interface, crafted to meet the expectations of today’s players.
In the story, Kate Walker, a lawyer from New York, travels to a quiet village in the French Alps to finalize the sale of an automaton factory. Her task quickly evolves into an epic and emotional trek across Eastern Europe, where she partners with a sentient automaton named Oscar to search for a reclusive inventor and the mythical mammoths of Syberia.
The remake aims to maintain the unique artistic style of Benoît Sokal while enriching the world with new technical capabilities, offering both longtime fans and newcomers a chance to rediscover a timeless adventure.
Update 05/20: Publisher Microids and developers Virtuallyz Gaming and Microids Studio Paris have now also released a teaser trailer for the game.
