The Sinking City Remastered launches as free upgrade on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC

Frogwares has surprise-released The Sinking City Remastered for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and GOG. The Unreal Engine 5 version is available now as a free upgrade for all existing owners of the original game on those platforms.

Originally released in 2019, The Sinking City is an open-world detective thriller with Lovecraftian horror influences. The new remaster features fully relit environments, upgraded textures, enhanced location details, and support for technologies like DLSS, FSR, and TSR. A photo mode has also been added.

Frogwares says this release marks a new chapter for the IP. “We plan to do big things with The Sinking City, starting with the sequel and then beyond,” said publishing director Sergiy Oganesyan. “Making it free to all our existing fans is our way of giving back to them for having supported us all this time through thick and thin.”
