Side-scrolling roguelite action game Dragon is Dead will leave Early Access and see its full release for PC via Steam on June 6, publisher PM Studios and developer Team Suneat have announced. Originally launched in Early Access in June 2024, the game has steadily evolved with player feedback, refining its combat, systems, and adding new content along the way.

Version 1.0 marks a major milestone with the addition of a climactic final region and boss, bringing closure to the story as players face off against the secretive Circle of the Dawn. The launch also introduces the feral new heroine, Hunter of the Beast, who brings a unique skill set and fighting style to the roster. Gear customization gets a big upgrade too, thanks to a revamped Tempering system and the new ability to quench equipment, allowing for deeper and more flexible builds.
Players can also hunt for powerful new Legendary items and an even rarer Mythic gear tier, unlocking unprecedented effects to enhance their runs. For those looking for the ultimate challenge, the full release debuts 16 levels of Nightmare difficulty, featuring fresh enemy patterns and mechanics beyond just tougher foes.
PM Studios describes Dragon is Dead as a gritty, unfiltered project born from the passion of Team Suneat, calling the full release a testament to their vision and resilience. The game is available to wishlist now on Steam ahead of its launch.
