Developer Grimlore Games and publisher THQ Nordic have announced that Titan Quest II will now launch in Early Access in summer 2025, shifting from its previously planned Winter 2024/2025 release window. The studio says the delay allows the action role-playing game to avoid a crowded action RPG season and ensures a clearer path for the title to shine. According to Grimlore, the game is already in strong shape for Early Access, and a firm launch date will be shared soon.

The playtest, which featured the game’s intro chapter and first major boss fight, was met with strong praise—92% of surveyed players gave positive feedback. Fans highlighted the game’s visuals, audio, and brighter mythological tone as standouts, while the dual Mastery system was seen as promising. Players explored the mythological world, chose dual Masteries, and faced off against the first major boss, Appollonia—who proved to be a standout encounter.
Some areas for improvement included sluggish combat and aiming issues with ranged weapons. The developers say they’re already implementing fixes, including expanded control options and UI tweaks. While minor performance issues were reported, broader optimization will happen closer to launch. Encouraged by early reactions, the team remains focused on refining the experience and staying true to the series’ legacy.
