Tripwire Interactive has announced that Killing Floor III, the next chapter in its cult favorite horror FPS franchise, will launch on July 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Originally delayed for additional polish, Killing Floor III has benefited from extra development time, with the team at Tripwire prioritizing community feedback. “The support from our fans has been incredible,” said creative director Bryan Wynia. “We’re thrilled to bring our vision to life and continue expanding the experience well beyond launch.”
Set in 2091—seven decades after the events of Killing Floor 2—the game drops players into a dystopian future where Horzine Corporation’s latest experiment, a bio-engineered army known as the Zeds, threatens the survival of humanity. Players join the resistance group Nightfall and fight to reclaim a world ravaged by this terrifying outbreak.
Killing Floor III features six-player co-op with full cross-play support, allowing squads to take on escalating waves of Zeds using a wide range of weapons—everything from flamethrowers and shotguns to katanas—each customizable with hundreds of mods, gadgets, and skill combinations. Enemies are faster, more aggressive, and strategically smarter, backed by improved AI and enhanced mobility. Players can activate deadly environmental traps like fans and turrets to gain an edge in battle, while the upgraded M.E.A.T. system ensures gory, visceral combat with realistic dismemberment and persistent blood effects.
In anticipation of the release, Tripwire is offering deep discounts on previous Killing Floor titles, with up to 95% off for a limited time across multiple platforms.
