DaRmaZat Kakao Games and Ocean Drive Studio have announced that Section 13, their roguelite twin-stick shooter, will officially launch on May 26 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game initially entered Early Access on Steam in July 2023, where it steadily built a community around its high-intensity co-op gameplay and strange corporate horror setting.
Section 13 puts players in the shoes of low-ranking agents working for the S2P Corporation, a company that specializes in paranormal containment—and bureaucratic indifference. After a catastrophic containment breach at a hidden black-site facility, players must descend through shifting levels of corporate madness, unravel buried conspiracies, and battle their own escalating fear.
Playable solo or in teams of up to three, Section 13 features fast-paced, twin-stick combat supported by an arsenal of unlockable weapons, customizable upgrades, and rogue-lite systems that reward experimentation. Between runs, players can invest in persistent enhancements that reshape each mission’s tactical approach.
Ocean Drive Studio has leaned into a tone that’s equal parts chaos and comedy, with characters like Agent Red and Boy Scout facing down cryptids, anomalies, and internal HR memos—all while trying to survive long enough to file a report. Section 13 leaves Early Access with a full suite of features, including new biomes, additional weapons, and enhanced co-op systems designed to make the workplace carnage more explosive than ever.
