Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have shared a brand-new 10-minute gameplay overview trailer for Elden Ring: Nightreign, offering a deeper look into the upcoming standalone multiplayer survival RPG. Scheduled to launch on May 30 for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, and PC via Steam, this new chapter in the Elden Ring universe shifts focus to cooperative survival in a world plagued by darkness.

Nightreign tasks players—known as Nightfarers—with braving a constantly shifting world, where biomes, enemy types, and weapon availability change from session to session. Every in-game day brings rising tension as players must strengthen their characters, outrun a deadly circle of fire, and face escalating threats. Each third night culminates in an intense showdown with a Nightlord, a towering new boss unique to this spin-off.
The experience centers around three-player cooperative gameplay, where heroes with distinct abilities must combine forces to survive. While each run is different, progress is rewarded even in failure; fallen players can earn relics that unlock customization options and upgrades, paving the way for future attempts.
With its mix of roguelike systems, tactical combat, and cooperative progression, Elden Ring: Nightreign aims to offer a bold new take on the acclaimed universe—and promises to test the limits of teamwork and adaptability in equal measure.
