DaRmaZat The side-scrolling action RPG Chronicles of the Wolf will officially launch on June 19 for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, publishers PQube and PixelHeart, and developer Migami Games have announced. Physical editions are also planned for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
In this gothic Metroidvania adventure, players take on the role of Mateo Lombardo, a young apprentice on a sacred mission to become the True Knight of the Rose Cross Order. His quest leads him through cursed castles and ominous landscapes in pursuit of the mythical Beast of Gévaudan. Along the way, players must navigate deadly foes, uncover secrets, and solve intricate puzzles that stand between them and their destiny.
The game also includes a special appearance by Bloodless, the fan-favorite boss from Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, voiced once again by Kira Buckland. Her inclusion brings an extra dose of challenge and nostalgia for genre veterans.
Chronicles of the Wolf stands out with illustrated cutscenes, narration by Castlevania: Symphony of the Night’s Robert Belgrade, and music contributions from Oscar Araujo (Castlevania: Lords of Shadow) and Jeffrey Montoya. With deep lore, brutal boss fights, and atmospheric design, the game promises to deliver a compelling experience for fans of classic and modern Metroidvanias alike.
