DaRmaZat SEGA has announced that Sonic x Shadow Generations will speed onto Nintendo’s new platform, Switch 2, as a launch title on June 5 for $49.99. This version promises enhanced graphics compared to the original Switch release.
First released in October 2024 for PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and the original Switch, Sonic x Shadow Generations has already sold over two million copies. The Switch 2 edition brings the same double dose of hedgehog action, now optimized for Nintendo’s next-gen hardware.
The game includes a brand-new story campaign starring Shadow the Hedgehog. Wielding new powers, players uncover why he’s called the Ultimate Life Form. Alongside this, a full remaster of Sonic Generations—the fan-favorite time-traveling mash-up of classic 2D and modern 3D Sonic—is included, complete with updated visuals and new bonus content.
