Legion Studios has unveiled a brand-new trailer for Covenant, its ambitious first-person dark fantasy action-adventure game currently in development for PC via Steam. While a release date has not yet been announced, the new footage offers a deeper look at the game’s richly atmospheric world and intense close-quarters combat.

Set in a sprawling, interconnected realm known as Creation, Covenant invites players to step into the role of the last living messenger—an angelic warrior tracking the descent of Malach, a once-revered figure now fallen to the abyss. As players explore ruined kingdoms, cursed strongholds, and mythical landscapes, they’ll uncover the story of Creation’s unraveling through lost relics and Old Notes.
Covenant features a Soulslike structure and level design, with deep progression systems and a strong focus on mastery. Players can switch between fighting stances, upgrade gear, and build unique combat styles using a blend of melee weapons, magical spells, and powerful auras. A dynamic one-hand/two-hand system changes how weapons behave, while expressive movement options like wall-kicks, slides, and evasive rolls allow for fluid combat and traversal.
The game also includes full campaign co-op, as well as PvP dueling in 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 formats—further expanding its competitive and social elements. Boss fights demand tactical precision, and secrets hidden across the world encourage exploration and experimentation.
With its richly layered mechanics, dark lore, and hybrid of action, RPG, and platforming elements, Covenant is shaping up to be a fresh take on the genre. It’s currently available to wishlist on Steam.
