DaRmaZat Dotemu and The Game Kitchen have revealed Kumori, the second playable protagonist in NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound, the upcoming 2D action platformer inspired by the classic and modern NINJA GAIDEN trilogies. A new gameplay trailer shows off her ruthless style, blending modern weaponry with demonic powers. The game launches Summer 2025 on PC (via Steam), Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
Set right after the original NES game, Ragebound follows Kenji Mozu, a rising ninja from the Hayabusa Clan, as he fights back against demonic forces after the veil between worlds is torn. Kumori, a deadly Black Spider Clan assassin, joins the story with her own motivations—and an unholy power that ties her fate to Kenji’s. Together, they must survive overwhelming odds through a shared ability known as “Ninja Fusion.”
With dual protagonists, fast-paced platforming, boss battles, upgradable skills, hidden missions, and intricate pixel art, Ragebound captures the essence of the original games while pushing the series into a bold new direction.
