DaRmaZat Publisher Raw Fury and developer Out of the Blue Games have announced that American Arcadia, the stylish puzzle-platformer hybrid, will be making its console debut on May 15. Originally released for PC in November 2023, the game is coming to PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
American Arcadia draws clear parallels to Jim Carrey’s The Truman Show, with its satirical take on surveillance, media manipulation, and the illusion of freedom. Set in a retro-futuristic 1970s metropolis, American Arcadia casts players as two characters trapped in a dystopian reality TV show where popularity determines survival.
Blending two distinct gameplay styles—a 2.5D platformer packed with chases and puzzles, and a first-person experience filled with stealth and hacking—the game unfolds like a gripping documentary, complete with interviews and interrogations.
The voice cast includes industry veterans Yuri Lowenthal, Krizia Bajos, and Cissy Jones, adding emotional depth to the story-driven escape thriller.
