Set in 1864, the story follows young cabin boy Sam and his sled dog Ellie after a shipwreck strands them on an uncharted island in the Arctic. Drawing inspiration from the ill-fated Franklin expedition and Inuit legends, IKUMA weaves survival gameplay with a haunting mystery. Sam must brave brutal cold, navigate treacherous terrain, and forage for supplies, all while uncovering the tragic fate of the lost Humboldt crew—an expedition his own was sent to investigate.
Playable solo or in co-op, the game lets players switch between Sam and Ellie to combine their unique skills.
