Ubisoft and Unfrozen have announced that Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era will launch in Early Access on Steam this summer. Set in the legendary universe of Enroth, the game marks a return to classic turn-based strategy while introducing new mechanics and a never-before-explored continent: Jadame.

During Early Access, players will experience the core mechanics, a sizable story campaign, and several game modes, with the full release planned roughly a year later. The final version will expand the content, polish gameplay systems, and improve visuals across the board.
Olden Era offers a blend of solo and multiplayer options, from a branching campaign to quick-fire Arena matches and a detailed map editor for custom scenarios. Six unique factions—some fan favorites, others entirely new—come with distinct heroes, units, and playstyles. Tactical battles unfold on hex-based maps using refined combat mechanics and creature abilities, while kingdom management, exploration, and faction-specific laws shape each strategic decision.
With modernized systems, flexible difficulty levels, and a deep well of customization, Olden Era is set to appeal to veterans and newcomers alike as it revives a legendary franchise with fresh energy and ambition.
