DaRmaZat 2DBOY and Tomorrow Corporation have announced that the PC version of the physics-based puzzle platformer World of Goo 2 will be released via Steam on April 25. The game originally launched on August 2, 2024, for the Nintendo Switch and PC through the Epic Games Store.
World of Goo 2 is a sequel to the acclaimed original game and introduces players to a rich world where they build structures, manipulate terrain, and power flying machines using various types of Goo Balls. These include new species like Jelly Goo, Liquid Launchers, Growing and Shrinking Goo, and Explosive Goo, each with unique abilities.
The game features a new, immersive soundtrack with dozens of original tracks and a fresh narrative spread across five chapters and more than 60 levels. Players will encounter an environmentally branded organization that seeks to collect Goo under the guise of sustainability, but their true intentions unfold over a story spanning vast stretches of time.
As players guide the Goo Balls to safety, they must also uncover what lies beyond the exit pipes in a world that is both visually stunning and filled with hidden dangers.
