In a chilling turn of events – as the developers of Stygian: Outer Gods themselves point out – Misterial Games have announced the extension of the Open Beta until April 8, 10AM PT / 7PM CEST. This gives players one last chance to explore the horrors of Kingsport before the game’s Early Access launch on April 14.

Stygian: Outer Gods is the latest addition to the grim Stygian universe, following the Lovecraftian horror of Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones. However, this game is not a direct sequel but rather a prequel set just before the infamous Black Day. It aims to offer a survival experience, filled with bizarre creatures that seem to have been pulled straight from the mind of H.P. Lovecraft. The psychological horror aspect of the game focuses on the mental health of the protagonist, plunging players into an unsettling narrative.
The game will be available in Early Access for PC on April 14, 2025, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions coming later. While not all changes will be ready at launch, the developers are already working on further tweaks and updates, which will be implemented shortly after Early Access begins. If you haven’t had a chance to join the Open Beta yet, head to the game’s Steam page to request access and dive into the eerie experience before it’s too late.
